Full-Time Laborer/Equipment Operator – Public Works

The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky is seeking a Full-time Laborer/Equipment Operator to join our Public Works Department.  Performs work in the repair and maintenance of parks, roads, facilities, grass cutting, snow removal, concrete panel removal, and other duties needed to perform daily tasks. This position will work four 10-hour days per week Tuesday through Friday. Work on evenings and weekends may be required on occasion. Employee will be on call during winter months. Must be able to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold; precipitation; rain, dust; mud; etc. Able to walk, sit, stand, use hands, listen/hear, climb/balance, stoop, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time. Ability to traverse adverse terrain and be able to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion; frequently lift 50 pounds and lift 25 pounds on a daily basis. Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  Due to work on or with machinery, applicants must be at least 18 years old. The City reserves the right to reject any and all applications.

Salary Range:
$33,000 – $42,000 per year based on knowledge and experience plus government pension benefits and excellent medical.

Seasonal Part-Time Laborer – Public Works

The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky is seeking a seasonal, part-time Laborer to assist our Public Works Department.  Performs seasonal work in the repair and maintenance of parks, roads, facilities, grass cutting, concrete panel removal, and other duties needed to perform daily tasks. This position will work approximately 29 hours per week through an estimated seasonal end time in October. Hourly rate between $15 -$20. Work on evenings and weekends may be required on occasion. Must be able to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold; precipitation; rain, dust; mud; etc. Able to walk, sit, stand, use hands, listen/hear, climb/balance, stoop, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time. Ability to traverse adverse terrain and be able to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion; frequently lift 50 pounds and lift 25 pounds on a daily basis. Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all applications.
