The United States Census has sent letters to residents to complete the online census form for the 2020 Census. We are asking all residents to please take the time to complete the information, it normally will take about 10 minutes to complete the form on-line. We have been made aware that when you input the code provided in the letter from the Census Bureau, that some the address fields are auto-populated with the City noted as Fort Mitchell. Staff has contact the Census Bureau and were informed that the zip code defaults to Fort Mitchell, but the information is Geo-Coded by location, and that households will be coded correctly as Villa Hills.
The information from the Census is helpful to both the City and you as a resident when it comes to applying for federal and state grants, and for redistricting for state offices, and reapportioning for House of Representatives, it helps determine how many seats each state gets. So please be as accurate as possible when completing the information. Your responses are confidential, and safe. By Law, your response cannot be used against you by any government agency or court in any way. Please include all newborns that are born before April 1, 2020. Include anyone living in your household, including those that are not a part of your family.
Please note that you can respond securely online, by mail or by phone. A lack of response will cause a census interviewer to come to your home to collect your answers in person. Responses are requested by April 1, 2020.
