The 2023 Kenton County Veterans Memorial 5K Run & Walk will be held Saturday, May 20th, 2023 starting at 8:30 am in the cities of Crescent Springs and Villa Hills.
The race will begin at the corner of Collins and Buttermilk Pike. Runners/walkers will go down Collins and then turn left onto Amsterdam. They will follow Amsterdam to River Ridge School where they will turn around in the bus circle. They will then proceed left onto Amsterdam heading back the same route. The race will end inside Crescent Springs Park.
STREET CLOSINGS and DETOURS
Between 7:55 am and 10:00 am Traffic on Collins Road and Amsterdam Road will be restricted and directed by personnel as needed.
¨ Amsterdam at Valley Trails / Prospect Point will be closed to eastbound traffic.
¨ Streets connected to Amsterdam between Valley Trails and Collins will be funneled back to Valley Trails or Buttermilk to use Buttermilk Pike to exit the city.
-Carpenters Trace-Cedarbrook. There will be no exit directly from Carpenters Trace to Amsterdam Road.¨
-Cedarbrook, Kenridge, Sunglow, Rogers Road, Stonewood, Niewahner and Lauren will be directed to a through street to Valley Trails or Buttermilk Pike.¨
Cecilia, Frank, Kramer, Ann and Felice — to use Frank or Ann to Mary to Buttermilk.
¨ There will be no access to Villa Madonna Sports Complex from Collins Road, or west of Collins along Amsterdam.
¨ Villa Dr, Palomino, Squire Oaks — use Squire Oaks to Rosewood to Buttermilk Pike.
