Residents,
We wanted to provide an update in regards to the Property Valuation and Tax bills.  The State of Kentucky was able to complete assessment and certification of real property and tangible property earlier than anticipated.  Therefore, tax bills will be sent out on time this year.
Council had a First Reading of the proposed tax rate ordinance on August 19, 2020.  They will hold a Public Hearing, followed by a Special Meeting with a possible 2nd Reading of the tax ordinance on September 9, 2020 at 6:30 pm, prior to the regularly scheduled Caucus meeting.
If anyone would like to provide input, please send an email to City Clerk Jennifer Lipson at [email protected]
Please note that property tax bills will NOT be sent out in September this year as they normally are.  We are expecting to mail them out in late November, early December.

It is not possible to pay these in advance.  However, residents who need to make a payment on taxes in the current tax year should be mindful of the short turn around.

This is not a decision that was made by the City but is due to certification at the state level being delayed by 3 months.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the city building at (859) 341-1515.

Thank you.
