A Special Event Permit is required for any festival, ceremony, show, demonstration, exhibition, pageant, transient amusement enterprise, outdoor temporary gathering or similar event, in or on or having substantial impact on any street, park, or other public place in the city. Any person or organization wishing to conduct or sponsor such an event is required to complete the City of Villa Hills Special Event Application form.

Full-time position – Police Officer 

The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky is seeking to fill one full-time police officer position. Previous experience as a police officer is highly preferred. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license & be POPS certified by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council or have the requisite out of state or federal police officer training accepted by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council to allow one to transfer to Kentucky without attending the Police Academy.

Hourly rate $22 – $25 based upon experience, team spirit, attitude & training.  Excellent benefit package. Applicants must be able to work flexible hours as needed including overnight and weekend shifts. This is a patrol position and not a lateral transfer in rank or seniority based on previous service. The City is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.

Part-Time Laborer – Public Works

The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky is seeking a year-round, part-time Laborer to assist in our Public Works Department.  Performs work in the repair and maintenance of parks, roads, facilities, grass cutting, concrete panel removal, snow removal, and other duties needed to perform daily tasks.
This position will work approximately 20 hours per week.
Hourly rate between $18 -$20.
Work on evenings and weekends may be required on occasion. Must be able to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold; precipitation, rain, dust, mud, etc. Able to walk, sit, stand, use hands, listen/hear, climb/balance, stoop, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time. Ability to traverse adverse terrain and be able to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion; frequently lift 50 pounds; and lift 25 pounds on a daily basis. 
Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

The City of Villa Hills has three (3) wooden (Sauder type) bookcases that have been declared surplus.  Any person who has an interest in obtaining one or all of the bookcases is requested to submit a proposal to the City Office by mailing or dropping off to: City of Villa Hills, Bid Proposal: Bookcases, 720 Rogers Road, Villa Hills, KY 41017. 

All bid proposals must be received by no later than Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Bids must be received in a sealed envelope and must separately list each bookcase bid in dollar format.
