City of Villa Hills Special Event Permit Application and Instructions

A Special Event Permit is required for any festival, ceremony, show, demonstration, exhibition, pageant, transient amusement enterprise, outdoor temporary gathering or similar event, in or on or having substantial impact on any street, park, or other public place in the city. Any person or organization wishing to conduct or sponsor such an event is required to complete the City of Villa Hills Special Event Application form.

The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky is seeking to fill several full-time police officer positions due to expansion. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license & be, or able to become POPS certified. Hourly rate $19 – $22 based upon experience, team spirit, attitude & training.  Applicants must be able to work flexible hours as needed including overnight and weekend shifts. This is a patrol position and not a lateral transfer in rank or seniority based on previous service. Applicants needing to attend the Police Academy will be considered. Seasonal Part-Time Laborer – Public Works

The City of Villa Hills, Kentucky is seeking a seasonal, part-time Laborer to assist our Public Works Department.  Performs seasonal work in the repair and maintenance of parks, roads, facilities, grass cutting, concrete panel removal, and other duties needed to perform daily tasks. This position will work approximately 29 hours per week through an estimated seasonal end time in October. Hourly rate between $10 -$12. Work on evenings and weekends may be required on occasion. Must be able to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat and cold; precipitation; rain, dust; mud; etc. Able to walk, sit, stand, use hands, listen/hear, climb/balance, stoop, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time. Ability to traverse adverse terrain and be able to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion; frequently lift 50 pounds and lift 25 pounds on a daily basis. Must have valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all applications.

The Cities of Crescent Springs, Edgewood, Ludlow, Taylor Mill and Villa Hills, Kentucky are seeking sealed bid proposals for solid waste residential collection and recycling services within their corporate boundaries.

Specifications can be found HERE.  All bids and proposals in response to this solicitation must be received at 385 Dudley Road, Edgewood, Kentucky 41017 on or before Noon local time, April 20, 2018, on a form provided in the bid package in an enclosed sealed envelope with the subject “SOLID WASTE BID” clearly indicated on the outside of the envelope. Bids will be opened immediately after the close of bids at Noon on April 20, 2018.

Each City included in this bid reserves the right to fully evaluate all bids for completeness and adherence to all bid specifications, and further reserves the right to reject any and all bids and proposals for any reason and may waive any informality in the evaluation of the bid. Each City included in this bid may in its sole discretion award a bid to the lowest and/or best evaluated bidder, who meets any or all, or a combination thereof, of the specifications and conditions set out in this Request for Bid.

Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the bid to insure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder, but if the Bid is accepted and the Bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the City within ten (10) days from the time he is notified of the acceptance of his bid, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages for failure to do so.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptance performance bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price, and a certificate of insurance.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive formalities and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder to such extent as may be in the City’s best interest.
